Someone left me a rep this afternoon which mentioned "a barge load of bean burritos" (He knows who he is ) Since then I've been thinking about them all day. It's funny, I've made countless tacos but never tried a burrito. If anything, they ought to be a lot simpler. So we're off to the store to get some flour tortillas and chili sauce. I'll let you all know how they turn out. This is where I get my usual fix Tippy's Taco House - A La Carta Menu (http://www.tippystaco.com/a_la_cart.html - broken link)

I've been there Voyager!! I've got to build some raised gardens if I'm gonna produce any quality veggies!! But, a summer like this one would probably have doomed any garden plans here!!

Now that we're finally having weather with more than one hour a day of sub 75 degree temperatures (my Eugene, OR living brother couldn't BELIEVE it when I told him that on the phone this weekend - I mean he couldn't believe we didn't have that all summer ) my gigantic fruitless tomato plants have begun fruiting.

I don't know how long romas take to ripen, but I'm thinking I'm going to get a large crop of late tomatoes.

That taco place sounds great, Quiet Walker! I want that thing that comes with 2 crispy tacos and 2 soft.. it's the perfect entree.

The smell drifting into where I am now of frying okra is making be so hungry I could almost eat cardboard if it had ketchup on it.

8 1/2 gallons of raw corn. 4 gallons under refrideration. 2 gallons, in cool off stage. 1 gallon currently cooking. The sugar content in this corn is high enough, I scourched the first batch, cooking it.
I've switched to a shorter cook reciepe........
