warm here as well, but yesterday was on the cool side. I am starting my Christmas baking either today or tomorrow and spoiled brat puts the outdoor lights up today, so maybe the spirit will visit our house in the next few days.

Today I renewed my acquaintance with maple syrup. We’ve been using Log Cabin since we had kids at home, but since it’s just the two of us now, I splurged on the real stuff.

It seems a lot less sweet than fake syrup, which is a plus, and it’s also a thinner consistency, so a smaller amount is needed.

I’m going to keep buying it.

Just made banana-blueberry pancakes served with warm maple syrup and a few sausages ...for us a nice Sunday (or any day) 'change of pace' evening dinner.

Default People blowing their noses while others eat

So I'm sitting and eating lunch in the break room, and some guy blows his nose loudly into some napkins as I eat, making me lose my appetite.

That's one thing that always annoys me and turns my stomach when eating with others.

Gross.

Totally sickening. A friend had so much mucus, she drank cow's milk, and was forever hawking a blow and throat thrust at the food table....

I had a friend who did it all the time. It didn't bother me. What did bother me was his constant mentioning of a mutual friend who, if she had been eating with us, "I wouldn't be able to do that" (blowing his nose). Now mouth noise, that's a whole 'nother matter. I do not want to hear anyone chewing out loud, slurping, making that smacking noise with their mouth while they eat. It's just not necessary.

That doesn't bother me as much as people who talk constantly while they eat, who wants to see chewed food in their mouths. It is bound to happen anytime we eat spicy hot food anyhow.

I have this problem. I try to be discrete, but my nose runs in restaurants. I don’t know why. It could be dairy from cheese, or grain, or from other stuff, but if I could help it, I would.

As I said, I try to just discretely wipe, not blow.
