About 30% of what I get as a new product at Trader Joe’s isn’t to my liking. I will stick to what I already tried. I force fed myself 2 flat breads and I didn’t enjoy it. And the turkey salad was too mayonnaised. Blech.

Does your grocery store have a lot of self checkouts?

Our Publix has just put in a lot of self checkouts. Yesterday, I believe there were only two checkouts with human cashiers open, and one of them was 10 items or less. Wouldn’t you think that it is the 10 items or less people who would be likely to use self check out?

I’m usually an easy going, go with the flow type of person, but by the time I got through the self checkout with a full cart of groceries, I was really cranky.

It seems to me that with the pandemic, and the political climate, people are upset, and don’t need any more changes right now.

I agree with you. I dislike self checkouts. The 10 items or less should be doing the self check out.

Obviously, I guess the only way around this, is maybe going to the grocery store when they first open (never on a weekend when it is the most crowded, that is my humble opinion)

Yes, I will be assessing the situation when i go in, from now on. I have several grocery stores in my town. I have certain things I buy in each one. Publix is the one with great customer service, but high prices on some items. If the customer service goes away, then I can easily make do at the other stores.

Anyway, I have made my concerns known on the Publix website, and that is all I can do.

I tried frozen duck breasts from Aldi’s last night. They were good for a change. I will buy them again.

I find the prices at Kroger are less then Publix. The service at Kroger is terrible though. I do love Publix, especially for their ground meats, and deli and bakery. At Kroger, the cashier expects you to bag your own. How lazy can you get.
