No In & Out here or Mod Pizza - but nah.... I wouldn't get excited about any fast food places personally. As for "fast food" it's pretty much: Ah... I don't feel like cooking so I'll spend more money to get something "somewhat edible" delivered or drive-thru.
Well sure it's exciting for some people because it gives people who tend to eat out even fast food more options. Personally, I'd be excited about In-N-Out, but not so much the others.
I know all the In-N-Out haters will need to chime in, LOL.
In n out is my jam! Maybe I’m a bit biased being from California...but I didn’t even realize I was missing it until they opened one up in Allen, the first in Texas. It’s hilarious, my wife and I were headed out to the zoo with our daughter when I saw that very day was opening day for that location. We looked at each other and (almost) wordlessly, instantly decided to drive 2+ hours to Allen and braved a 45-minute line when we got there for her double double, my 3x3 with grilled onions, hamburger for kiddo, fries and two vanilla shakes. I was in heaven.
Chipotle isn’t that exciting, but it’s good quality and considering how expensive fast food is these days, a pretty solid value.
Never had Mod Pizza.
KFC is alright I guess. The best reason to go are the biscuits. But I’m not a fried chicken connoisseur...I like KFC as a whole better than Raisin’ Cane chicken.
If they were coming to our small town I'd be excited about all of them except for maybe Mod pizza. Chipotle is good, I can't get enough of their chips and medium salsa. We usually get the barbacoa tacos.
In and Out is really good. We always get In and Out when we go back to California for the holidays. It's cheap, fresh, and tasty. Get a double double and a vanilla shake. Yum!
KFC is good too. They have some really tasty chicken tenders. I like the original chicken too, not a huge fan of the crispy. The gravy on the mashed potatoes is peppery and delicious. I also like their biscuits. Really flaky. Wish they had real butter though.
I think we've eaten at Mod pizza once. I don't think it was bad, but I don't remember being wow'd by it. I prefer Pieology for the make your own quick pizza places.
No interest in FF, it's just not worth the cost (both money and feeling sick after consumption).
I never ate in 99% of all fast food places (I think I went to McD once or twice to use their internet. Ordered ... hot tea). Not interested in them either.
I find Chipotle intensely mediocre. In-n-Out makes a great burger and ruins it by serving it with horrible single-fried fries. Never heard of Mod Pizza.
Mod Pizza: Anyplace that names their pizza's Lucy Sunshine, Tristan, Lucia, Jasper? Ah, no. Call me a snob, but I dont like cutesy cocktails with little umbrellas, dogs wearing dresses, or food with silly names.
KFC: Strongly prefer Churches. (In fact, Churches fried chicken is one of the few FF that we do eat.)
Chipotle: I'm spoiled when it comes to Mexican. And this ain't it.
In and Out: Yeah, they're worth a FF splurge. I might have a minor preference of Arbys roast beef with horsey sauce.
All that said, we're not buying from national chains right now. We're taking our dollars to the local, independent restaurants. The big guys have the resources to survive this; those that don't survive were going down the tubes before Covid.
