Well, I somewhat dislike puréeing soup in batches (inevitably messy and time-consuming), making lots of individual patties or veggie burgers on the stove top (again messy and time-consuming), but I actually dread things that are potentially dangerous like deep-frying on the stove top. I just don’t deep-fry anything anymore. Not healthy + scary = why bother?

Why are you pureeing soup in batches? Get an immersion blender. They are the best things ever and inexpensive. You just stick it in the pot, whir it up, and done!
Me... I hate chopping veggies. Granted, my skills there leave a lot to be desired, but I've switched over to pre-chopped veggies you buy at a supermarket, just dump the lot into a pot/pan/wok, and you're good to go! That easily saves 20 to 60 minutes right there!
.
I used to have a Slap Chop, and an imitation Slap Chop to get many veggies chopped enough that you can eat it all with a spoon. The cleanup is a bit of a hassle, but on the level. However, it is a lot of time to get chunks small enough to fit inside it, and then do that over and over and over again. However, they're both broken, and I never bothered replacing them. I recall I do have a Mandalay I should try using.

If I can leave it on a burner to take care of itself while I go do something else, no problem. I just set the kitchen timer.
I don't mind this, as it's sometimes a welcome distraction from everything else around the house. However, my big beef with dishes like risotto, mac 'n cheese, and other such thick/sticky dishes are the cleanup. I've forgotten to presoak the pots, and had to put off washing it for another day. Interestingly enough, more than one restaurant has taken risotto off the menu since it's a pain-in-the-neck to make.

For some reason I don’t mind wrestling around raw poultry, or picking the meat off the carcass. But I do see why some people would.
I was a city girl. Here on the farm we raise and butcher our own meat and poultry. I am not really squeamish, but my first chicken kill....kinda grossed me out, and then to pluck it, chop it up, cook it and ...eat it.
Now it’s like second nature. I still don’t like to watch the slaughtering of the pigs, or gutting deer, but I don’t mind handling the meat afterwards. I am becoming ....Pioneer woman!
chopping 50lb bag of spanish onions for soup, the trick is to not rub your eyes , blink a lot to wash them and chop fast.
The only thing worse is baked stuffed lentils.
'Dread' is a heavy word. I wouldn't say I dread any task.
I dislike peeling heaps of potatoes for a big feast, and I am not a big fan of mincing cilantro or similar flat leafed herbs as they stick to the knife, the cutting board, my hands, the bottom of the sink, etc.
Oh, and I dislike cleaning up flour off the counter during the various stages of baking bread. Yeah, that's the closest to dread.
Well, dread does not apply because I don’t do it anymore, but when I made pancakes I hated doing so. The need to plate up a hot stack that someone else finishes before I have made even one for myself just doesn’t sit well. And no, jumping up and down between bites to ladle out another one to cook isn’t any better.
Pancakes are reserved for eating at a breakfast-all-day joint. The paid cook using a gigantic cooktop can crank ‘em out.
Washing, drying, and trimming/stripping tiny herb parts annoys me, but the vibrant results from fresh herbs are worth it.
Planning the meal is usually the hardest. I'm about to the eat it or starve stage.
I'm sick of pasta. It's not healthy and I want to substitue squash for it. I'm tired of the whining about it.
