A dash of Dash. That sounds catchy, so why not drop the Mrs. part.

There was nothing insulting about the old name; I doubt this has anything to do with PCness.

I know many other brands are suddenly trying to become more politically correct, but Mrs. Dash? Another old label bites the dust.
OMG when will this changing food names ever stop??

So Mrs. Dash has been neutered. About time. Didnt want to season with little bits of dried powdered cadaver.

Seriously nobody is changing actual names of real foods. Wheat is still wheat. Just "brand images" being changed. Lot times the mega hyped brand name stuff is just cheap garbage funneled through Madison Avenue.

Some do. Some refuse to be happy and enjoy life, so are constantly seeking something to be mad about. If it isn't this, it would be something else.

But isn't it way, way simpler to leave the name the way it is?

I guess I don't understand what is so racist about the Land O'Lakes logo. It's not inherently insulting to put an image of an Indian on anything. Are they saying it's cultural appropriation or something? I've always thought that was a sketchy idea. I thought this was supposed to be a melting pot that allows, even supposedly encourages the blending of different ethnic threads. Are they going to outlaw blended names next, so you can't be called Collette Demjanjuk or Shaniqua Running Bear?

Now, calling your football team the "Fighting Irish"? That's a very clear ethnic stereotype, and a pretty negative one at that. You wouldn't call a sports team the "Thieving Gypsies." But they never propose changing that.

I wish I could get some of the Herbamare that was out in the 1970's - that stuff was way better than Mrs. Dash.

Maybe they should have kept Mrs. Dash, and added Mr. Dash - "now with nuts!"

Yes people do have an attachment to a brand because it's nostalgic and probably what a person grew up with for many years. I grew up with Aunt Jemima and now she's gone, kind of like she died :

I didn't say they wanted to do the simpler thing. I said they wanted a simpler name. Companies frequently rebrand. This is just a rebrand.
