Red Bull gave him wings. And a halo.

Some of those energy drinks can be harmful or fatal if you drink a lot. Ive gotten sick one summer from drinking 3 of those in one day, but we were out on a jobsite out in the middle of nowhere, the temp was about 110 degrees, summertime, and it was very hard for me to keep going in that heat like that. Spent the whole evening as a dog and even out on the jobsite, the made me sit in the truck for a little while.
My source of energy drink now is diluted green tea or flavoured water.

I don't see any humor in a tragic death such as this.

That's the problem with news stories from syndicated sources - they are usually poorly written and incomplete!!!

Just found this in a longer better report - seems the guy had a heart problem and should not have been on the caffeine....

Coroner Nicholas Gardiner said he could not say the caffeine level was high enough to have caused a heart attack.
He added: "I do not think we can go on a witch hunt for Red Bull on the strength of this."

Recording his verdict, Oxfordshire coroner Mr Gardiner said: "I think it was almost certainly the case that Alfredo Duran had an underlying heart condition.

"And, there are papers that show that caffeine can cause heart arrhythmia, but we were not able to say in this case that the caffeine was definitely high enough to have caused his heart attack.

"A can of Red Bull contains about as much caffeine as a strong cup of coffee."

It isn't just the caffeine. It also contains amino acids, glucoronolactone, etc.

Folks, drink responsibly. 4 Red Bulls a night, every night, is not responsible. If he was drinking them at night, I am assuming he was using them as a mixer for alcoholic libations. Sheesh.

Sorry for his family - hope they can heal.
