I'm the only person I know who eats her french fries completely naked--that's how much I love the pure potato taste. If I had to choose a favorite potato dish it would be hashbrowns. Crispy, golden-brown, with lots of salt and pepper. I've been eating lots of baby Dutch creamers lately. I top them with either salsa, pesto, or hummus. I was surprised at how well hummus goes with potatoes!
Only if they are fat potato chunk fries. The shoestring ones are awful & all you taste is the oil.
My own mashed potatoes made with butter, not margarine, cream not milk, minced garlic clove, pepper, salt. BTW, I think instant mashed potatoes are a crime against humanity. Gack!
I love In n Out animal-style fries, but can't get them where I live.
I have posted on here already, that I never met a potato I didn`t like. Lately, I have a craving for polish potato pancakes (placki). My Mother, always had some made, for a snack, when I came home from school. I could smell them, before I even walked through the door....so good.
Potato pancakes, roasted potato wedges, and potato salad - with mayonnaise, German, or otherwise. I make a potato salad with an oil and vinegar dressing, celery and onions, and minced tarragon. So yummy.
KFC doesn't have potato wedges anymore. BOOOOOOO!!! That was one of the thinks I liked about KFC.
Wow really? That sounds like a TERRIBLE decision! Popeye's serves french fries and Chick-Fil-A has waffle fries. People want a potato product with their chicken that they can eat with their fingers.
