I like mine creamy, and creamy ones are softer than the "low fat" ones.

Depends. Some flavors aren't available as hard and some with soft. Depends on the ice cream and the manufacturer. We have several local places who make their ice cream including frozen custard. I'd rather have them than Breyer's. I think Breyer's has gone waaaaaay downhill and is not what it once was.

Well, if it starts off hard, just wait a few minutes and it'll become soft.

Microwave ovens were the greatest thing for soft ice cream lovers.

Obviously hard. what's the meaning of eating ice cream if it's not hard. The only fun is to eat it before it melts cuz after it melts the whole flavor is gone and it tastes watery. I hate it when it becomes watery.
