What, to you is THE BEST brand of quinoa, or do you just get whatever the store has at the time?

I seem to like the Organic Tricolor one at Trader Joe's. (Also happens to be gluten-free.)

But, I'll get other organic ones if I'm at other stores if I need quinoa. If a brand's really, really good though, I'd like to try it.

I've tried numerous different brands and it all tastes the same to me (I like quinoa, just to be clear). It's such a generally bland taste that I can't imagine big differences anyway.

Thanks guys!

I know I've tried a few brands & some taste a little different or are a tad more starchy, so far, I like that organic, tri-color one at Trader Joe's the best, I think.

I've bought it in bulk. I doubt that it's organic. But, I dont think I like it anymore.
I cant bring much flavor into it. I mix it w/roasted veggies, oil, red wine vinegar, s&p. Doesnt help.

I've switched over to barley, and mix it up...it tastes much better.

imo

If you want a new idea to do w/ quinoa, here's a recipe for fried rice from a pro Japanese chef that I replicated plrecisely. I just substitute the rice for quinoa & it's great! For the meat, I mostly use low-sodium SPAM, which really gives a nice flavor to this dish. I've made this probably about 10xs since COVID started:

Near East, but it's been out since pandemic started. There's none on the shelves. Couscous yes, but not their normal quinoa varieties. I've been getting a quick heat up one, cooked, you just warm up in microwave.
