Normally we have 14-16 family here, and have at lease two bottles of wine, sparking cranberry juice, whatever anyone else brings, and of course, water.
With only 3 of us this year it will wine for me, hot tea for my wife, coke for my daughter.
It's only 4 of us. No alcohol is being served since my mom is sober 2 years this month and the rest of us are not big drinkers although we do enjoy alcohol so It will be diet coke for my mom and the rest of us will drink water of seltzer and apple cider. I know my mom said it was fine if my husband and I want a drink but I am fine without it.
Thanksgiving we usually have a choice of red or white wine from the Pelee Islands or a variety of IPAs and Akvavit Schnapps or Enzian Schnapps for digestion.
Christmas time we serve with dinner different types of IPAs and during the evening there is a choice of Martini,a glass of red or white wine,Champagne or Glühwein. For the children Spezi (equal parts orange soda and coke ),Perrier water with lemon juice or a warm/cold drink made with raspberry syrup, lemon juice and water.
Homemade limoncello from our lemons along with beer and Prosecco.
New this year is a pineapple ginger shrub bought at a farm market to be added to our Soda Stream sparkling water for a soda.
