It was cold here so I made a spicey, and creamy pumpkin, vegetable curry with a medley of winter vegetables. Served on basmati rice, win naan.

We each had a glass of Rose'.

The cold wind outside is playing with the colorful autumn leaves and the letter "s" is mentioned.Will it snow we will see, although we had yesterday already our first snow rain.

Tonight lentil soup with potatoes and vegetables with a dollop of yogurt and chopped cilantro.For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.Later by the fireplace a cup of Ricola tea with a gingersnap cookie.

diced potatoes
diced carrots
chopped celery
chopped garlic cloves
chopped onion
butter/ghee or olive oil
brown or green lentils of your choice
vegetable broth

Alm, your dinner sounds wonderful ... but SNOW?! Already?! I always love our first snow, but we usually don't get it until late November at the earliest! (Well, Halloween one freak year, but that was very very odd.)

Anyway, for dinner I had a pork chop (just cooked on the stovetop -- sprinkled some black pepper & thyme on it first) with stir-fried veggies (YEP! THEY'RE BACK, LOL! ) -- tonight it was carrots, onions, zucchini, and mushrooms -- and some avocado. Everything was really good, although I missed the timing of the pork chop and it was overcooked by probably 30-45 seconds. Oh, well.

===

ETA: the package of pork chops was on sale -- one of the only things besides chicken (which goes on sale every week, different parts) that was cheap! Each pork chop (with about 5-6 ounces of actual meat, the rest is bone & fat) will end up costing about 50 cents.

Asian style meatballs over rice and string beans.

We have snow forecast for Saturday. I'm excited, it seems like the start to the holidays.
