Tried something new tonight ... chicken with smoky harissa sauce.
It was kind of like making curry except I used a jar of Al'Fez harissa sauce instead of curry sauce or paste. I'd never had it before but it was just $2.09 for what will be (for me) 3 servings so I figured why not.
Started carrots & sweet bell peppers & onions, then took them out and browned 3 bone-in chicken thighs and added the veggies back in along with mushrooms, then added the full jar of sauce and put the lid on the pan. Let it simmer for 40 minutes, turning the chicken once, then added it to my pan.
It was REALLY good -- a bit hotter (spicy-hotter) than I usually have, but not burn-your-mouth-so-you-can't-taste-the-food hot! I will definitely buy the sauce again.
Ribs will be smoked and a wheat berry mediterranean salad (kalamata, pepperonicini, sun dried tomatoes and stuff),will be made, but we will probably finish off the lunch poke bowls.

Veggie quesadilla with rice and mango salsa. Tasty, yet could use some… meat.
