Had some left over Sunday gravy (sauce) and fresh parmesan cheese left over from when I made Lasagna for Christmas. So, I breaded some chicken breasts, and made chicken parmesan, served with a side of steamed broccoli.

Chicken with smoky harissa sauce (again ) ... the first time I used the Al'Fez sauce I got 3 portions out of it (3 chicken thighs plus LOTS of veggies), the next time it was 4, and tonight it was 5 so I had 4 left to freeze. Even with 5 thighs (plus carrots, mini sweet bell peppers, onions, celery, zucchini, snow peas, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes -- yeah, I went a little crazy ), there was plenty of sauce to go around, and I know from experience that it will taste just as great from frozen as it did tonight.

No picture today, but this is from the first time I made it ...

I had half a slice of naan with it then, but tonight it was plain old rice.

I'm glad to be able to get more servings out of it since it was $2.09/jar in EARLY NOVEMBER, as in just 2 months ago, and now it's $4.69!! Still worth it, but holy crap, that was a gigantic increase and I have no idea what caused it.

We had friends over so we did takeout BBQ today - brisket, ribs, sausage, potato salad, coleslaw and a taster of serrano glazed brussels sprouts. I also heated up some beans because I couldn't bring myself to pay $7.00 for a pint! The BBQ was excellent and the sides were really good but I'm glad I skipped the beans- mine were pretty good!

when I read about a food I am unfamiliar with, I google it & see if it is something I might want to try.

Went to a meeting earlier, so we split a cheese platter. Now we are home & I think I will have a slice of broccoli quiche & hubby can finish off the home made turkey soup.
