I went with the Mrs to the grocery store today. Lucky me ! I was perusing the fish counter and found me fresh ( as in not frozen) SWORDFISH ! So it was broiled swordfish and basmati rice for supper.
This evening's dinner was Chicken Pot without the Pie, and in this case it was a veganized version so it was without chicken as well. Soy curls were subbed in for the chicken, and vegan chicken broth was used as well. The rest of the players were onion, carrots, rutabaga, white wine, flour, thyme, almond milk and peas. This was ladled over a bed of freekeh which is a North African ancient grain. Served with a mixed green salad and merlot vino to drink. Very tasty!
Making a chunky beef and pork chili, and tater tots on the side "for the kids". Salad.
