Cooked a top round roast in the crock pot with the Pioneer Woman packet of au jus. Turned out really really good. I will have it on a toasted hoagie roll -- I read you should put giardiniera on it -- that pickley Italian vegetable salad. I need to get some at the store -- the kind with peppers and celery and cauliflower. Makes it kind of like a Chicago roast beef sammy if you add provolone cheese. I also have some cooked fresh broccoli as a side.
SO messed with all my plans this week. It will be meatloaf with lots of vegetables and garlic in the same pan and roughly mashed potatoes. Cold and sunny - comfort food day.
Taking a break and getting Chinese takeout. Combination fried rice, hot and sour soup and egg rolls.
