I pulled a container from the freezer that could be either vegetable soup or chili. Whatever it is, that's what we're having. Maybe a small quesadilla to go with it.

Cheesy chili macaroni from Chef Daughter, King's Hawaiian dinner rolls and honey/sunflower seed kulfi for dessert.

Had no time for traditional Christmas treats this year so today I baked two Swedish kringlers. Sent one up to a friend and put the other in the freezer until the kids have time to stop by for coffee.

Tomorrow I'm making cranberry orange scones to take to my dentist's office. I had some dental work done in Mexico and it fell out after I came home. Had it redone here and it fell out the same night! All this right before Christmas. They squeezed me in the day before our celebration and redid it one more time. So far so good. Think it's time for a crown.

To drink, chilled Stella Artois.

Orange slices and tea with honey for dessert.

Your dinner sounds delish! Swedish kringlers are so good! Haven't had them in years.

Interesting that you mention Mexican dentists. I need two crowns that will not be covered by insurance. It's cosmetic. I was thinking about going to Mexico to have them done.

My guess is you would not recommend Mexican dentists after your experience. Or was it just the one you chose?
