Six enthusiastic thumbs up. I will never use syrup again.
I sometimes make stacked savory or sweet German pancakes. For sweet ones I use
jam
whipped cream with mashed strawberries or apple sauce
quark and whipping cream with lemon or orange rind
for garnish powder sugar or some berries and serve it with a fruit compote

For savory layered pancakes I use keema (like in Shepherd's pie the spicy Indian version)
as garnish fresh cilantro
OR I use homemade thick tomato sauce with Italian fresh herbs and for the kids I used to hide the pulsed fresh vegetable in the sauce

Tonight rajma masala/red kidney bean soup served with chapatis and a vegetable platter with onion, cucumber, celery and carrot slices. To drink lassi. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.

I made the base for chicken tortilla soup a couple of days ago and it’s finally rainy and cool today so we are having that with a salad.

Store bought fried chicken... tossed all the coating, but since it was 4pm & with so many errands, I hadn't eaten all day, the market was my last stop... too hungry to think about homemade anything.

Followed by a small bowl of vanilla fudge ice cream, which I wish I skipped... still jittery from sugar shock. Still, it tasted nice.

Have a good weekend, All.

Let us know what you think! Alm has me considering the various possibilities of savory stacked pancakes...

As for tonight, DiGiorno’s finest Supreme Pizza and a teeny salad.
