Yes, most people are more familiar with its cousin Redfish (technically Red Drum), but that was so popular that it was over-fished and now is only sold as farm raised. Black drum is nearly as good and more available as wild-caught here in Texas. It’s my favorite fish!

Chicken/beef taco mix with baby spinach, diceD tomato, onion, black olives, Guac, salsa & sour cream.
Small glass of Sangria & water. Should have picked up some more tacos.
The previous ones were possibly a bit out dated.

Dessert: few bites of an ice cream sandwich.

Cinco de mayo wishes to all!!

I'd love to see Alm's homemade version of the above.

Well, I may be one of the few to not have a Cinco de Mayo dinner... fried hamburger patty & 3 egg yolks. There was Tabasco & pungent onions in the patty, however (made steak tartar last night, then changed my mind)... so does that count?

Last night we had deli loaded potato soup with garnish of cheddar, sour cream, and green onion.

Tonight we had some of my leftover chili with the same toppings.

something with shrimp tonight. Got them shelled and cleaned this morning, still have to figure out the rest of it. That labneh and dill was so good last night, maybe I'll do flatbread sandwich with that as a spread, grilled shrimp and cucumber.
