I've got to Google to find out how to most easily pit 4-5 dozen cherries (don't have any fancy-schmancy kitchen tools, so it will need to be done with a knife, I guess)... they're so sour, I'll need to make banana-peach smoothies for a few days. Too early in the season for pricey cherries, I'm afraid.

Have a good weekend, All. Heatwave coming, so stay cool.
Treat them like you would smash a garlic clove. Just don't hit them that hard and wear old clothes, or cover them with a paper towel when you whack them. Trust me...

Okay, TY, MT. I have a piece of plastic I can use as a cutting board, so I can retain as much of the juice as possible. I'll report back.

Not that hungry after a big lunch. Just sandwiches, boiled some eggs, opened a can of corn.

Do you have a rimmed sheet pan?

Sour cherries are supposed to make great cherry pies, turnovers, etc.
