Went out to dinner with family to celebrate my dad's 86th birthday.

I had a Cajun-style cheeseburger and French fries. I wish I had room for their famous funnel cake for dessert!

Odds & ends. Big bowl of homemade beef minestrone soup, followed by a grapefruit. Wasn't enough, so I mixed up a can of oil tuna with an entire Vidalia onion & avocado mayo.

Have a good week, All!

Sausage from the deck grill, corn on the cob, Cole slaw, and small dish of grapes. Finished off the last few sips from a bottle of Mt Dew and water.

Dessert: Had thought about it but then nixed it. The mid afternoon snacking on potato chips and dip didn't help. Maybe I did have that dessert after all. Sometime between noon and way b4 4 pm., I warmed up a choc chip cookie in the microwave.

I am making Leek, green olive and sultana pissaladière, because I have one leek to use. Fancy name for a pizza mostly. DH is making beef jerky today so maybe I can piggy back this on the grill.

I haven't been asking him to grill because he has been spending his days digger holes for fruit trees.

Ooooh, exciting. Which types of trees, M? Are you planting them in order to use the fruit down the line or just cuz you like them? When I lived in SoCal, I used to love driving through the CA desert passed fruit & nut farms. Tiny, pretty trees for miles.

For me, leftover beef minestrone & a small salad. I've got 6 lemons to use up, so there's a lot of upcoming salad in my week.

I'm reheating the chicken and sausage from Sunday. That bird was huge! There's at least one more meal in there besides tonight. Thinking maybe some smoked chicken enchiladas? Anyway back to tonight - DH made red beans so we'll have that, some grilled corn (he bought way too much corn too) and a small salad.

Dinner this past Sunday with a good friend. My family's first time eating at a restaurant since CV-19. It was good to get out.

Star of the dinner was the 8.5lb king crab/noodle. The noodles soaked up a lot of the crab juice and was awesome. Also had Peking duck, squid, fish, soup and a couple of other items. Great meal and great company.

Not sure why the pic is sideways.
