Last night at the coast so we got takeout from the restaurant right up the street. I got crab cakes and DH got fried oysters and shrimp with their signature onion rings. All was tasty but fried seafood is better served hot at the table.

Beef short ribs, mirepoix, merlot, beef stock. Seared then.cooked in a pressure cooker. Defatted the liquid by putting in refrigerator overnight, then warmed up and used the immersion blender to pulverize the mirepoix and thicken the gravy. Mashies and steamed broccoli and carrots. Mascarpone brownies for dessert.

I like to cook them first, I find the texture a bit better.

I'll either pick up Chinese food on the way home, or make breakfast for dinner. Haven't decided yet.
