No idea. Cleaned out the fridge in preparation for vacation, flight snafus ruined the whole plan, so now I'm back home and need to resupply and/or thaw stuff or get takeout. Too addled by the last couple of days events to make another decision.

I made small, 2 egg ones plain and used the last of the orchard apples simmered in butter, maple syrup and a dash of cinnamon/nutmeg for a topping. They were very filling but somehow we managed to choke them down.

The recipe suggested serving with a side dish of sour cream mixed with brown sugar. Even I thought that sounded like overkill.

You know how hopeless they are left over. You'd have to be standing by my oven door if you want a plate.

Tonight I had elk burger thawing for meatloaf and was going to make escalloped corn and creamed potatoes and onions with it.

But DH is quite ill and needs to go to urgent care. Of course neither of his doctors is available.

One of the two new kittens we got on Wednesday, out of the blue, just lay down and died last night. Heart wrenching and shocking. They came with clean bills of health.

I have a doctor's appointment which will need to be cancelled and a call to pick up my computer tower at Best Buy. Kitten stool samples need to go to vet.

Trying to figure out how to reprioritize in the best way to accommodate DH. He's had all three vaccines and a flu shot but I haven't seen him this sick in decades. Also want to address the health of the other kitten. She's a little dear.

All fixings for supper are in refrigerator and on hold for now. Such is life and meal-planning today. One thing at a time.
