Tonight we are having a fireside picnic meal or what we also call sausage night. We will be having grilled Polish sausages with plenty of sauerkraut, chili dogs (and dogs with kraut, grilled onions and hot mustard), hot links (which I love), a big bowl of potato salad, Limoncellos to drink and lemon meringue pie. My husband and father-in-law are already drooling in anticipation.

I am thinking about making stuffed peppers, but if I don't drum up some energy, it may be patties with pepper strips & rice.

I managed to cook collards and black eyed peas before we lost power again yesterday. We heated up more gumbo and made some rice on the propane grill. Today we ran out of propane so we grilled some chicken thighs and sausage and heated up the greens and black eyes on the charcoal grill. We had that for lunch so supper will be any snack food we can find that doesn’t require cooking.

I hope you folks get your power and heat back on real soon!
Good luck!
Tonight we are having a hot and spicy vegan gumbo, whole grain baguettes, some Pinot noir wine to drink and Mrs B is working on a peach bourbon bread pudding.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Another lovely pic!

For me, blacked NY strip with scrambled eggs, followed by lettuce with lemon-oil.
For dessert, a marinated peach & espresso.
I'm still hungry... Might need a small bowl of oatmeal.

Gotta love NY strip steak❗️Not sure about the espresso after dinner, that would keep me up all night.
