We are excited -- we are ordering kabobs tonight from a great local Persian place. They have the most delicious orange flavored rice with almonds and super moist chicken kabobs, lamb shanks with dill rice, eggplant dip, Shirazi salad and saffron rice pudding and baklava. Yes -- we've been looking at the menu already!!
Another craving... I think we will still be on leftovers tonight.
I really want to start making more Middle East type food. I love the spice combinations

Chef Daughter stopped by yesterday on her catering rounds and dropped off the meal of the week - beef stew and dumplings. Trying to decide if I should make a side dish.
Making a chicken breast stuffed with a cream cheese/cheddar/green chile mixture, smothered in Hatch green chile sauce served with a Mexican corn and rice side.
Fried ground beef burritos, with all the usual veggies and stuff.
