Chef Daughter was on her catering rounds yesterday and dropped off some beef stew and ants on a log stir fry.

I'm inclined to put some dumplings into that beef stew.

DH's birthday dinner has been moved to Sunday. With a family member in the cooking biz I don't think we've ever had a holiday or birthday that hasn't been bounced around like a basketball. Poor, once-fresh turkey breast has been mistreated nearly to the limit.

The hubs is making dim sum. I don't even know most of what we're having but I did help make some dumplings last night.
Happy New Year!
