Progresso soups taste richer than Campbells. The difference is comparable to tasting a recipe in which one person used milk whereas the other person used water. Progresso would be the one who used milk. I've never really been disappointed with either brand of soup except once. Recently, I had Progresso Corn and Clam Chowder. It tasted as if sugar had been added, not just the natural taste of sweet corn. That was disappointing, to taste a sweet soup.

I like Campbell's chicken noodle when I am sick. I may or may not eat the noodles. The broth is what makes me feel better.

There's more of everything in the Progresso chicken noodle--more chicken, more noodles, and more carrots. I throw about half of it out before making it. Again, for me, a good broth is what makes a soup. Progresso's broth is better.

I'm spoiled, it's only homemade now, but I grew up eating Progresso soups. I remember the ones w/ the little meatballs.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how they manage to remove all the flavor from canned soups. Homemade is so easy and vastly better.

Maybe you like the extra flavor of the veggies. I don't know. But if you want just plain chicken broth you can buy it in cans or larger paper containers. We use Swansons brand.

I keep it on hand for if I want to make gravy and don't get enough broth from roasting the bird.

I do be careful, though, not to use the low sodium variety as to me it tastes like they have put poultry seasoning in it.

If I have a sore throat, nothing beats Campbell’s chicken noodle homestyle soup. It’s hot, it’s salty which feels good on my throat. But healthy? No.

Agree. Homemade is the only viable option for soup, imo.

Most canned soups aren't good, and soup mixes are even worse. Both are extremely high in sodium.

I’ve lost my taste for Campbell’s, plus they discontinued all the ones that I liked best

Progresso seems to have gone down in quality over the last few years. There are less solids and more liquid. I like their lentil, clam chowder, split pea soup.

If I buy soup, what I like best is the Trader Joe’s soup in cartons. My favorite are butternut squash, black bean, tomato basil.

Actually, I like soups better that I make myself. That’s where a crockpot excels, IMO.

I prefer Campbells/Well Yes! but I do like Progresso Minestrone. Amy's has a couple that are pretty good too.

With the pandemic, I stored several cans in case I became sick and not well enough to cook or go out for take-out.

With that said, I do prefer to make my own soup and do so often.

I only make homemade with the very rare excursion to the old childhood faves: Tomato and chicken noodle but they aren't as satisfying as they were then.
