And demi-glace is so much more expensive as preparing it required so many veal bones - maybe 5-10 times the cost of beef base.

I use ketchup on tons of stuff.

For me, it's Heinz 57. It can pair with wide varieties of meat without ever being offensive.

Their demi glace base makes a great quick Bordelaise sauce. They have several different chicken ones that you’d use the way you use Better Than Bouillon. It’s shelf stable for a year+ and lasts for months in the fridge after being opened.

I'm going to have to try this because I swear by the Better than Bouillons in my cooking.

Also, apple cider vinegar adds just the right tang to so many dishes.

And my favorite go-to-seasoning is Toasted Onion and Garlic (no salt) Chef Prudhomme's Magic Seasoning
