Usually about 10 percent, as long as they are diligent with drink refills and clearing empty plates.

Buffet meals are around 18.00 to 20 some odd dollars so generally $4.00 or so.
If the server looks like they have fallen upon hard times or has physical issues, we have tipped them $10.00 or more "just because."

Healthy looking, college age, healthy anyone gets standard tip regardless of charisma and service. Anyone our hearts go out to get generous tips. They are out there working and struggling.

$15 minimum wage, no tip. At buffets there is minimum service, no tip is expected.

Nothing. It's a buffet...you do all the work yourself.

Yep, in Huntsville. (Chinese)

The sneeze guards are a little bigger, and diners use single-use plastic gloves at the buffet. As restaurants go, no more or less of a concern that others. The place is family owned and run, five bucks or keep the change, or whatever is fine. It all goes into the same kitty, and if they need more money they raise the food prices. What is fun is watching the young boy sometimes man the cash register (with minor supervision). They don't leave the kids with babysitters and they get bored sitting around, so "play" from time to time doing some of the tasks their siblings do. It is brief and I wouldn't say they were working, and are in no more danger than anyone else in a restaurant as a customer. The family is well known and liked in the area.

Not here. Ryan's closed early last year and hasn't opened since. That's the only total buffet place around here.

We have a few seafood buffet places and all of them have signs..No Buffet, menu order only.

All the Chinese buffets are open. Golden Corral (yes you can get healthy choices there) has closed. Ryans closed a long time ago. All casino buffets (we don't gamble but loved the buffets) have closed. Ponderosa has closed.

All the Asian and Chinese buffets are still around.

The Asian and Chinese buffets provide a box of disposable plastic gloves (like a kleenex box) for people to use.
