Trader Joe's has recently started carrying this marvelous snack, "Crispy Thai Chilies & Sesame Seeds". It's just a bit hot, but mainly crunchy and salty and slightly oily. I love it!
Does anyone else out there like this type of snack? I hope it doesn't disappear from their inventory. These unusual items tend to come and go.
I've found something similar on online stores, mostly from Thailand; thinking about trying to order larger quantities, but it's not cheap.
I've never seen this at TJ's but I'm thinking of getting dressed and driving the 13 miles to our closest TJ's store. RIGHT NOW. Thank you for the heads up on this stuff (though I'm a bit surprised it's only "a bit hot. "
Thanks for mentioning. The last time I was at TJs which was Monday, I didn't have time to look around like usual, but this is something I'd try, thanks a lot!

Haha, to me it's not too hot, but to my wife it would be extremely hot.
I just came from TJ's today where I bought a couple more bags of the stuff.
The problem is resisting devouring an entire bag in one sitting. It's only 2.8 oz. of dehydrated peppers and stuff, but it does pack a wallop when... well, you know...
I have a dehydrator, and now I'm wondering how hard this would be to make. It's got quite a few ingredients but it pretty much is red chili peppers, sesame seeds, wheat flour, rice bran oil, and seasoning.
Couldn't rep you again but I understand resisting something really good. I went to a cookout/get together a couple weeks ago and she breaded and fried jalapeno slices - too much work for me but they were addictive!!
We picked up some of these yesterday. I like hot but these things are vicious! DH LOVES hot - I've only ever been able to bring home one thing he couldn't eat - Paqui Carolina Reaper chips. But even he finds these Thai Chile snacks to be pretty damn hot.
He's thinking they might be good as a topping for Asian soups or other dishes. Mixed with sticky rice, maybe.
Blister Peanuts - I don't think you'd need the dehydrator to make these at home. You can buy dried thai chile's easily at an Asian grocer or even online. If they are fresh, they will be very hot.
ETA: If you like hot and shop at Trader Joe's, try the Ghost Pepper chips. DH will drive 10 miles out of his way to buy those things.
I tried "I think" some kind of ghost pepper chips (and I usually like hot but I like a taste as well, not just my mouth on fire ; - friends were passing them around at a socially-distanced outside gathering around a fire.... my eyes were watering after having a bit of one. To each his/her own I guess.

I think I did try those chips one time and they were pretty hot.
I eat a little of the dried Thai Chile snacks at a time. Too much in one day and it burns all the way through my system.
By the way, my local TJ's has moved the Thai Chile snack from the "new" section to the regular snacks shelf, so I'm psyched that they may become a permanent thing.
