I've never heard of them before, but looked at their site because I was curious how they compare to Quest bars. I'll probably stick with Quest ... same net carbs, less sugar, more fiber and protein.
Put enough sugar into anything and it will start to taste like a candy bar. I've eaten bacon that tastes like a candy bar... the very best candy bar. Yummy candied bacon, it doesn't get any better than that.
If you want a candy bar, you might as well eat a candy bar. Choose something with nuts in it so it isn't a total waste. Or if you are trying to get away from sugar, you can buy sugar free candy. Some of it isn't too bad tasting.
I like the original Nature's Valley granola bars. But then, I like granola and I like oatmeal cookies, which is what that bar is: a crispy oatmeal cookie... I don't care for any of the bars they have put out after that but they sell a lot of them so someone likes them.
I'm with Mainebrokerman, if I wanted a protein snack, I'd eat jerky, or maybe roasted soy nuts.
You could always buy one of those Built bars and taste it and see if you like it.

These have very little added sugar. 4g in a Built Bar as opposed to 30g in a Snickers. That can be a huge difference for some people. Most of the sweetness comes from erythritol (a natural sugar substitute that doesn't cause a lot of GI upset). There aren't many sugar free candies that don't use artificial sweeteners (sucralose, aspartame, etc.)
When looking at any of these just remember Four grams of sugar is equal to one teaspoon.
Kind bars have 7 to 12 grams*. No wonder they taste good
* may be added sugars, not just white
