1)Indian - I love Indian food, especially South Indian dishes like Sambar, Masala Dosa and Puliyogare rice.
2)Thai - Love the spicy food, the use of basil and the Tom yum soup.
3)Nepalese - I especially like the mustard greens and veggie momos.
4)Vietnamese - light,fresh and healthy
5)Malaysian/Singporean - I love the spicy Laksa and Char Kway Teow noodles.
6)Chinese - can range from really fantastic to horrible. Shanghai cuisine is my favorite with authentic
Cantonese a close second.
7)Indonesian - Hard to find authentic ones. I like almost any tempeh dish and the fish cooked in banana leaves.
8)Korean - just for the kim chee and other banchan. Mostly too much meat for me. I don't eat the bbq.
9)Japanese - would like more spices and a lot less msg. It was better in Japan when I got freshly cooked Yudofu.
10)Cambodian - Hard to find authentic places. Plan to stop in Long Beach next time I visit Socal.
11)Burmese - I do not appreciate this food.
12)Phillipines - I do not like this food, none of it looks good to me.
I would insert Mexican somewhere near the top and Italian food near the bottom of the above list.
1. Mexican (prefer "California Mexican" )
2. Asian (but of course there are some Asian cuisines I like much better than others; Thai and Indian are way up there)
3. American (that is, good American, such as a great barbecue, or an awesome burger)
4. Italian (everyone raves about Italian food and I don't see what the big deal is. Maybe I just haven't had the good stuff?)
Sadly, I don't know enough about a lot African cuisine or South American cuisine, along with some other regions, so I am not able to give a comprehensive answer, however I am sure they have great food.
