I have to say vanilla but butter is a good one, too.
There's a savory cookie made with dandelions (flowers and greens) that includes pepper. It's WONDERFUL. Slice & bake, too! So plan to make a bunch to freeze when the season hits, before the dog targets the flowers.
High-quality butter for any baked good is a game changer.
I have given out a cookie recipe multiple times, and am always told, they don't taste like yours.
I tell people upfront, buy the good butter. They don't.
What do you consider "good" butter? I like Land O'Lakes butter (or similar) which is graded at AA. Specialty butter like Kerrygold is way too expensive to use in baking. Just curious what you choice for good butter is.

America's Test Kitchen recommends baking with Land O'Lakes unsalted because of the consistent quality of the product. I, personally, don't bake much but when I do always use Kerry Gold- simply because I love it (both salted and unsalted). I have a few things I never complain about pricing on; butter, steaks and seafood.
