I stuck one in the refrigerator on Fri. thinking I would cook it Sat. - didn't happen and still hasn't happened (life) - think it will be safe tomorrow? I tried to look it up on online, I won't use Google, but couldn't get an answer. Think it will be okay to do tomorrow?

Doesn't it have a date on the label?

Generally, if the color is good and it doesn't smell funny, it will be fine.

It had been frozen.... I'm going to go by how it smells, hopefully not bad!! I learned the hard way to not defrost something and then try to refreeze.

No. I would not refreeze meat.

If the meat has been thawed in the fridge, it is safe to refreeze. It is not safe if meat was defrosted on the counter.

As far as using it, as long as it smells & looks OK, I would cook it, & eat it.

If it's even slightly slimy or smells even faintly sour, trash it.

Rinse it before you smell it, but it should be fine. If you're concerned, marinate it in a plastic bag until you cook it.

If this is one of those vacuum sealed tenderloins, and is still unopened it should be fine for 2-3 days in the fridge after thawing, if the original shrink plastic is unopened. I agree with others...give it a good whiff and go by that.

This isn't even close to a food safety issue, and chances of the surface getting slimey from Friday to Monday or Tuesday are slim if the refrigerator temps are normal and meat covered.

Is it in a vac pack? On a plate covered with Saran?
Does it look and smells ok?
I left raw meats in a fridge for a few days and all was good.
Judge with your nose...
