We can get Great Value lightly salted chips at Wal-Mart, and that are pretty good.

I too cannot find ANY brand of lightly salted chips here in SW Florida, and I checked Wal-Mart, Aldi, & Sprouts.

My wife is not supposed to have salt, so even unsalted snack would work. Popcorn gets old.

I have also not been able to find light sticks of butter anymore...anywhere...not even Publix. Not even the tubs.

I found whipped light butter, but the price-per-ounce is insane.

Light cheese slices either. Shredded yes, but not block or sliced.

Supply chain issues?

I know the chips you speak of as I buy them, but haven't purchased them in quite some time. I'll have to check and see if they are out in my stores.

I don't eat chips much but aren't there many store brands of them?

I saw Lay's low salt potato chips in the store today.

If you can't find a good substitute you can make your own. Home made potato chips are delicious

Heat some oil in a high sided frying pan, slice the potatoes very thin or use a mandoline. You can salt them as much or little as you like.

You can get a plastic mandoline fairly cheap.

Utz thinness and level of crunch do closely resemble Lays’. Add salt as desired to unsalted chips.

They aren’t among my favorites but Lays and Utz are THE main brands we see here. Lays ad nauseum, and Utz has been busy buying up other brands of potato chips AND pretzels. That reason alone made me decide to not buy any more Utz.

One comment.

If you are looking at a mainstream brand like Lays, all the grocery stores are serviced by LAYS route personnel. If it is carried at ONE store in a market and NOT the other, it means that the store has decided NOT to stock the product. They still have access to the product.
