This might surprise people..I normally heat water and French press my coffee, but,
I knew I'd have to leave early today so at 8 pm I ground 4 scoops of beans, put them in a st. steel pitcher, put spring water on top of them...covered it as they say to do.
At 6 am ...so only 10 hours, it was so smooth and good! ...no sort of creamer needed for those that use them.
Did it have the full bodied flavor it could have...no, but it was good!
Microwaved it, btw, in the cup.

That means I have a very small window of opportunity to have it the exact temperature I like it. It's either keep reheating or drink it whatever temperature it is.

I'm so totally not fussy about coffee that I'll drink nearly any coffee except for Starbucks. It tastes like burnt rubber to me.

But I do enjoy a fancy cup now and then just for fun. My favorite is Mexican coffee and I make it at home sometimes.
Lodestar, is Mexican coffee a blend from Mexico, or is it a way of preparation?

I also don't want to drink enough coffee to become caffeine addicted, however, so I'm forever in search of a satisfactory warm, soothing beverage. Sometimes hot cider (too sweet), Ovaltine (too caloric), broth (too substantial). So still looking...
Have you tried Chai tea?

Strong, with a spoon of evap, unless it's for dessert, in which case, stronger, and with vanilla ice cream.

For everyday coffee consumption, I like it black. But I'm not above a delicious, crazy extravagant frappuchino once in a blue moon.

My favorite brand is the McDonald's brand.

I keep hearing how good McDonald's coffee is. Even black? AND a senior discount! Will have to try it...

Since discovering "International Delight" Peppermint Mocha creamer, I just us that, no sugar. It adds just enough sweetness, along with the flavor that enhances, rather than covering up the flavor of the coffee. I have tried other flavors, but this is the only one I like. Some taste like medicine, and they are nuts doing things like "Twinkie flavor."
