How hot is the Thai sweet chili sauce? Can anyone reccomend a mild brand?
To add to the above response, I agree most brands are "pretty mild". I am familiar with Trader Joes, we use it to dip egg rolls and some other things. It's a good place to start. other than that, you could go to any American Grocer (Kroger, Food Lion, WalMart, etc.) and see what they have on their international aisle. I don't know what brands you'd run into, but something like Lee Kum Kee or Kikomans is a pretty safe bet for "not spicy".
Adding it to those things that need a little ”sweet” to balance the acidic like chili, stews, adding it to some dips, vinaigrettes, mayos, home made BBQ sauce, and of course, tea.
Love honey, and I am discovering different varieties for different flavors, and it doesn't get wasted because it lasts practically forever.
Another item I've learned to like more and more is dill weed.
I'm using Is it halal pages for discovering new food and recepies, they come in very handy!
