Yes, but not right away. I usually freeze it in a ziplock bag and then at a later date make homemade croutons if I can trim all the crust off. If not, then I'll use a fork to get as much bread crumbs as I can to use in recipes like meatloaf, etc..
Do you eat the ends of the bread loaf? Does it depend upon your mood, what you're eating it with or the price of gas? I am about to chow down on an end with a sandwich.
When I was a child someone made the mistake of telling me, "Crust gives you curly hair." I had naturally curly hair and hated it, to the point where the outer crust had to removed from the bread before I would bite into a sandwich. As an adult, I enjoy the crust on a French baggette or a loaf of Italian bread, in spite of my curly hair
