If you can get hold of this Australian sparkling kamboucha, it is worth trying it out. It claims to be all natural ingredients, no sugar, contains live culture.
I had been really ill in the past three weeks, often woke up with dry throat and drinking it did help. However, I limit myself to consuming one can only per day.
I just started drinking the Zevia products because they are sweetened w/ Stevia, w/o any of the other crappy chemicals that normally are added to diet coke, diet Pepsi, ect..
They are pricey, & the Stevia tasted takes some getting used to, but I'm sticking with this brand for now.
They are not in all the mainstream grocery stores, so I buy it when I go to Sprouts.
The Cola is clear colored, which is odd, but I guess they didn't was to add coloring chems to it.
The Mr. Pibb flavored one is awful...almost had to throw it away, but a lot of Bourbon added to it got me through that 12-pack.
LOL, yeah my housemate left a "Peach Tea" can in the fridge and said I could have it (needed something fizzy). Hmmmm, had Bourbon in it Ordinarily I wouldn't mind, but it wasn't what I was looking for at the time.
These drinks tend to be more expensive so I can see where a Soda Stream would be very useful.
Assuming you can get the necessary CO2 gas cannisters locally and cheaply. I'd like to trial some type of soda maker someday primarily to stop buying plastic single use bottles, but no one in this area stocks the cannisters. Shipping them long distance or driving out of your way to buy them doesn't make much sense financially or environmentally.

Plain unflavored seltzer water. It's all the same - generic store brands taste the same as the pricier stuff. I buy whichever one is on sale and I can get the best deal on. It's carbonated water.
For a flavored water, I like Hint - no bubbles, just a very subtle flavor to it that I like.

Soda Stream offers a recycling program. You get the canisters at a reduced rate ($17, as opposed to $32), and send back your empties (they provide a prepaid shipping label).
Do you have Target in your area? They sell the canisters.
Healthiest would be one of the no sugar/no calorie sparkling waters.
I don't buy them because they come in aluminum cans.
Kombucha is also a good choice, but they're spendy.
