I once tried Chinese pork intestines. It tasted and smelled like ass.

But I still prefer not to eat cold and unheated kimchi.

I'm not arguing - just curious why you think cold kimchee is different from hot/warm kimchee?

We tend to avoid American, Korean, Japanese, Mexican, South Asian (we did have a take out last Thursday). Too much sameness within the cuisines. Although there are tremendous variations within.

Will will have Pho more often than not because, we want a light meal when we go out. In our dark days, a hot broth is welcomed.

I am a food explorer... love to try every cuisine on the planet (as long as it doesn't harm you).

But yeah, some things I can't or want to try - Balut aways freaked me out, the little embryo staring at you as you bite it's head? Also it has feathers etc. I do understand that ppl who were brought up eating it love it.

Also sometime you see some street markets with big insects fried, on a stick, etc. I definitely would gag trying them.

As for the people who stated - "oh those ppl eat dogs, etc". You have to realize that in certain Asian histories, they experienced real famine. So the saying - "we will eat anything with legs, except for furniture" is understandable. Food is never wasted in their cultures and the dogs that they eat are specifically bred for food. I wouldn't eat dog, but would never "judge" others.

I'm betting that you salivate thinking about eating that nice prime rib steak. But somebody in India would think eating a cow is sacrilege.

I love most Korean, Japanese, and Chinese food. Not interested in raw seafood or raw/runny eggs (mental block), natto, organs or random body parts like chicken feet.

Most of it.

Also, I'll eat nothing that swims in water or crawls in muck.

For peace of mind.
Same reason I would pop the sashimi and sushi in the oven for 10 minutes before consuming.

Most important is the salt content.

When it's been cooked for 10 minutes in an oven, it is definitely no longer sashimi.

Dogs, bbq scorpions, chicken feet, rats... anything that's still alive while you eat it

Asian food I won't eat?

Sure. Rotting, decomposing fish/animals.

I'd have to be very hungry to eat a dog or horse meat. (I still think of poor Ferdinand.)
