I'm one of the few people in the world who can't stand to smell cooked lamb. I swear it smells like a wet cat. My mom always let me know in advance when she planned to cook it so I could go elsewhere. It literally makes me sick to smell it.
I tried sushi for the first time the other day. I have to say I was impressed, I actually liked (some) of it. However, the smell of the green wasabi was sickening to my stomach!!
I'm a black guy who grew up in the south. Trust me when I say nothing smells worse than mom cleaning chitlin's in the sink. I think you would have to work in a packing plant to get a worse smile. To say it is vile is a gross understatement.
Somewhere along the way, I was eating a bag of Cheetos and someone made the remark that they smell like "stinky feet". I still eat them now and then, but if you think about it, they really do. Maybe they should have named them "Cheesetoes".
Cabbage
Brussel sprouts
Asparagus
Broccoli (but it takes good after it's cooked)
Frozen Pot Stickers (Chinese dumplings) - At least one variety smells like rotting garbage!
Fish (I nearly passed out when I drove by a dumpster in back of a fish store on a hot day)
I'm sure more will come to mind, but this is a good start.
