LOL~I got this last year for Christmas.

I love it but lately we have been experimenting with different recipes & the bread looks great & then sinks in the middle. Still tastes great so I told DD don't worry~still make the experiments!

Last 2 days she made an herb & cheese bread each day, that was soo good...but it did sink in the middle.

Just make sure you have yeast & bread flour. That's it for the simple white bread recipe & really that one comes out the best. Enjoy!

Ohhh..I see most of these recipes call for dry milk...

Maybe DD better go by the book again!

The building guy at work was just telling me how he buys yeast in bulk at Costco..activates it..& then flushes it...then takes hot showers & this helps keep the septic active...

Meaning to pick some up there..LOL...But not for bread..

How big was the yeast package at Costco?

I'm not sure how big those bags usually are, but it seemed small to me--just a pound at most. Whereas the bread flour bag was ginormous! Sitting on the ground, they were about 2 feet high and weighed 15 pounds each!
