Jeff Smith-we have his "turkish coffee grinder" we use as a pepper mill and gave as Christmas gifts to all our friends one year.

I used to love to watch Paula - not so much anymore because of obvious reasons (And I hate that too, because I really used to like to watch her! She has come such a long way - used to be severely agoraphobic...I just wished she would have stayed the way she was when she first started to get popular.)

Does anyone remember a show called the "Galloping Gourmet"? I remember being a child and watching it with my mother.

I also loved to watch Justin! Never actually made any of his recipes, just drank his wine!

I remember the Galloping Gourmet too. Know I've seen it, but that's all I can pull from the back of my mind.

My current favorites are Paula Deen, Giada DeLaurentis, Alton Brown (when he does Feasting On series), Guy Fieri, and the Neelys. I would like to watch Big Daddy more often, but I'm usually out & about when his show airs on Sunday, and I never remember to record it.

I had a vague memory of something unsavory like that, but didn't know if it had any merit, so i didn't mention it. Too bad if it is true.

Two Fat Ladies, yes thanks. I'd like to see more British cooking shows like theirs. One of the ladies has gone on to that great kitchen in the sky.

Graham Kerr was the Galloping Gourmet. He is a British bloke!

I just love Guy Fieri. He's lively, without being annoying.
I can't stand to watch Rachel Ray..too frenetic.
I have used more Ina Garten recipes than any of the other Food Channel cooks, but her show puts me to sleep.
Martha Stewart is one cold fish, but I appreciate the perfection, and use a lot of her recipes, too.

Agree about Guy Fieri-just love his Diners,DriveIns and Dives.

The Neeley's-she's so annoying and he's so calm. They make pretty good looking stuff.

Would love to be Ina's friend.

The Galloping Gourmet was sooo 70's cheesy - there would be these long, lingering close ups of his smarmy face...yuk. He'd literally drag someone from the audience at the end of the show and hand-feed her the food, making all kinds of perverted expressions and licking his lips. Truly gross.

I love watching Anthony Bourdin but I don't want to share a meal with him.

So he was the Paula Deen of his day.

I only saw Ainsley Harriot a few times, but thought he was very good.
