Did your parents ever make you eat something when you were little that you hated and have never eaten since?

Nope, I love food...I love it too much...but we had to try things, and if we honestly didn't like it we didn't need to eat it...but we had to try.

No. I was allowed to go to bed hungry... My kids the same...They cooked a lot of things I didn't like when younger that I crave now though. Greens of all kinds with hot sauce I can never get enough of now.

Yes! My mom is one of 8 and my dad one of 7. I am one of 4. When i was a kid we were expected to finish what we were served, no matter what. I was the pickiest eater back then and remember being forced feed or sitting at the table for over an hour to finish! Ha! Now I am not picky AT ALL and i always clear my plate, no matter what. just habit now i guess

I had to eat squash when I was little. I complained that my stomach hurt. My stepmom sent me off to afternoon kindergarten. I could not make it to school....I pooped all over myself.
Let's just say that after she had to clean me up, we never had squash again.

Only thing I ever had that I hated was fried eggplant. Mom loved it so she served it regularly, and the family rule was that everything on the plate had to be tasted, even if not finished. For whatever reason, the flavor and texture just made me gag, and I never, ever developed a liking for it.

You mean specifically or just their cooking?

My step-father believed in cooking meat until it was a hockey puck and the only thing my mother could cook was Hamburger Helper (yuck).

I think that's one reason I learned to cook, was so that I could actually eat and enjoy food.
