In praise of Leftovers... (freezing, chickens, buy, turkey)

Just had the last helping of a few days' ago's leftover chicken noodle soup, made from stock and chicken from an earlier roast chicken dinner. So I guess that's exponential leftovers.

I just posted in the 'What's for Dinner' thread that I am having the last of leftover egg drop soup and adding leftover green beans and leftover rice. I am looking forward to it.
Wow, where have I been? Just now seeing this thread. The thing is, we shouldn't save anything that wasn't wonderful in the first place.
When I spend a half day making lasagna, or something else which is labor intensive, for only two people, I feel rich when I have several meals waiting in the freezer for another meal with no work involved.
Not only that, but something like a stew, or chili, is truly better after a day of two.
I just smoked a Boston butt. We used a third of it so two more meals without having to cook it.
About time to get my vintage "stick burner" out and tease the neighbors. BBQ is all about leftovers.
