After a family dinner I realized that some well-meaning relative had scrubbed my iron skillet too vigorously and now everything is sticking again. I have seasoned brand new skillets before, but this one is now "patchy". How can I get it back to it's previously smooth, no-stick self?

The process is the same as seasoning a new one; it'll even out after a few cycles.
