I didn't find anything recent in a search. Does anybody use one of the home meal delivery services where the ingredients are delivered to your door along with directions?

HelloFresh reviews aren't good, HomeChef seems a bit better. I'm looking into this for my mother who can no longer drive, so if anybody has experience using a company like this, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Might have better luck posting this in your Mother's city forum. You can look on this page for the right forum. The locals should be able to point you the way.

Way too expensive for me....just buy the ingredients, and cook them! That's what cookbooks are for!

Thanks, but these companies are nationwide. I have looked into grocery delivery services in my mother's area, and they are non-existent at this point.

My daughter had Blue Apron delivered as a gift to me...3 meals a week for 2 weeks. The ingredients were very fresh & good quality & easy to prepare. Each meal served 2. Only one meal was sub par, the rest were very good. The only problem was the delivery company, which was FedEx. I know this was pricey, so I do not know if this would work as an everyday option for your mother.

I am sorry, I don't have a review to offer, but somebody who lives on my street gets Schwann's regularly.

No recommendation because I've never tried them, but I believe Seattle Sutton is nationwide now. Or even Nutrisystem - just explain the situation.

Also, have you considered maybe hiring someone? I have an acquaintance who is a personal chef for extra cash while attending culinary school. Or perhaps there's a caterer nearby who you could work out an arrangement with?

Best of luck!

Google "grocery delivery" for your city. There's at least one regular supermarket that will deliver.

Thank you for this. I went over a few of the options with my mother this weekend, and Blue Apron looked the most appealing.
