They make a chianti now?

When it first made a splash, 2004 I think it was - it was decent wine at a terrific price. There was a glut of quality grapes in California due to overproduction and great growing season. They were almost too cheap to harvest, but Bronco bought 'em all up and made a deal with Trader Joe's. Then it picked up some awards and the rest is history. The really good grapes were gone long ago though, and the recent vintages range from decent to awful. I still cook with them, and have been known to take a pull right from the bottle.

Horrible.
