Federal health officials on Thursday ordered dozens of imported foods from China held at the border as possible health risks. Most are ethnic treats, including snacks, drinks and chocolates.
The fact that the FDA is putting the burden of proof (that products are safe) on the Chinese companies is overdue. I quit buying anything that I even suspect comes from there. This includes all products made by Nestle's since they have a factory there (hot choc mix, milk stir-ins, etc.). Another thing to watch is dollar store/discount brand chocolates...Canada just had a huge recall of Chinese made chocolate.
