I seldom eat any frozen pizza anymore as so many places have specials that you can buy a fresh one. Once in a while as a quick snack though I pop in some of those bagel bites and bake those up. A little tasty in a pinch.[/QUOTE
I don't have pizza places near me....so I keep trying to find an acceptable frozen one.
Try California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizza. Pretty good. Many flavors and styles. I like the flatbread.
In addition to Amy's frozen, I also like Chey Boy-ar-dee's pizza mix. There is no frozen crust as good as that. That crust and sauce also rival pizzerias. If you buy extra cheese they can be really good. I love the sauce.
Oh yes I was just thinking of this. The dough is really good and I usually spread it out on a cookie sheet and add more ingredients and bake it up.
1. Dr. Oetker? Very good. Nice variety of flavors. On the pricey side, though.
2. Kirkland (Costo) frozen plain cheese pizza. It comes 4 in a box, I think. Also good.
3. Red Baron Four-Cheese. I enjoyed it when I lived in the States. It's not available in Canada, though.
Thanks Dawn....RB has mini pizzas I like so I'll try the 4 cheese....for cheese lovers like us
I just had some Freshetta Spinach and Roasted Mushroom, and it is good. It’s shaped square, thin crust, so it would be good cut in small squares for appetizers.
If you ever find yourself in the New Haven, CT area please do yourself a favor and try what they call apiizza.
Holy Cow! It truly is the holy land of pizza in the US.
My wife and I took a spur of the moment road trip from Chicago to New Haven to try the pizza, photos of which online looked fabulous. We were told that Pepe’s, Sally’s and Modern were top contenders and ended up at Sally’s. After a long wait outside followed by a long wait inside our pizza arrived. After a couple of bites we looked bemusedly at each other and my wife said “Domino’s”. Which wasn’t fair to Domino’s. Cardboard crust, tasteless sausage, vile cheese, bland sauce—the pizza we had at the Sbarro on the Ohio Turnpike was better.
The worst food disappointment I can recall.
